Audi is joining the all electric club with a new SUV

Audi finally joins the all electric club with deposits being taken for a SUV based on the e-tron concept car.  Looking like it will slot somewhere in size between the Q5 and the Q7, the car, which looks very much like a conventional Audi, promises 310 miles of range from a 95KW battery. Other treats include virtual wing mirrors -  cameras display rear view images in the doors, so there are no actual wing mirrors - and an all glass roof with PV elements which will produce electricity for the air-con and heaters. Clever stuff.

No prices as yet although we should expect it to go head to head with Jaguar’s I-Pace.
